There are three methods of accepting members: profession of faith, transfer of church membership, and statement of baptism.

Q. What is the relationship between the Arkansas Baptist State Convention and the churches who support it?
Each church is autonomous. Participation in the ABSC is voluntary. The Arkansas Baptist State Convention (ABSC) cannot dictate or require any church to take specific actions, nor can a church require the ABSC to take special actions.
