Attention. Present Bibles. Start.
The 2009 ABSC Bible Drill Xtreme promises to be exciting for all those involved! Everyone will be challenged to learn God’s Word for the purpose of impacting the world around them. This year we will unveil an exciting change… the ABSC Bible Drill Xtreme! The Bible Drill Xtreme will offer church drills, seven regional drills and one state drill called the ABSC Bible Drill Xtreme Blast. Students can participate in Children’s Drills (4th-6th grade), Youth Drills (7th-9th grade), the new High School Drills (10th-12th Grade) and Youth Speakers Tournament (10th-12th grade). The winners from the seven regions will compete in the ABSC Bible Drill Xtreme Blast which is our version of the Super Bowl of Bible Drills. This will be much more than a day of mere competing. Everyone will be encouraged and challenged during a scheduled time of worship with the Refuge praise band from Ouachita Baptist University and a Christian illusionist, Randall Eller. It will be a day where every participant will be affirmed “a winner”. Our prayer is that the ABSC Bible Drill Xtreme will make an impact on all who participate this coming year!

What is Children’s Bible Drill?
Children's Bible Drill is a program that will help fourth, fifth and sixth graders increase their knowledge of the Bible, develop skills in handling the Bible, and expand memory skills. Children who participate in a church drill and give 12 or more correct responses may advance to participate the regional drill. Children who give 16 or more correct responses in a regional drill may advance to the state drill, Xtreme Blast. The regional drill schedule is located at the bottom of the page. What is Youth Speakers’ Tournament?
The Youth Speakers' Tournament is a discipleship project for tenth through twelfth graders that is designed to encourage growth toward Christian maturity. Teens will be challenged to think seriously about their commitment to Christ.
NEW THIS YEAR: A church may send as many participants as it chooses to the regional Youth Speakers Tournament, provided each participant has scored at least 180 points OR is in first place in the church tournament. What is High School Bible Drill? (New This Year!)
High School Bible Drill is a program designed to continue to develop skills and an understanding of the Biblical knowledge that will allow them to stand for Christ. High School Bible Drill is available in KJV or the Holman Christian Standard.
A church may send as many participants as it chooses to the regional High School Bible Drill, provided each participant has scored at least 180 points OR is in first place in the church tournament. Note for HCS Drill Cards:
"What We Believe" questions are stated a little differently in the Holman Christian Standard version from the King James Version. For example, the KJV asks, "What does the Bible say about what can I offer God?". The HCS version asks, "What can I offer God?". The questions might have "What does the Bible say..." added on to them. Please make your students aware of this small change in wording. Leaders, thank you for your patience!
