Discipleship / Spiritual Formation

Matt. 28:19-20 says “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
In keeping with the command of Jesus, our goal is to help churches make disciples. Our desire at the Arkansas Baptist State Convention is to see everyone who professes faith in Christ move on from that decision to a deeper lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord. The first step in that discipleship process is baptism and the second is teaching them to live as Jesus commanded. Developing an intentional process of making disciples is vital to moving people beyond a simple profession of faith to deeper devotion.
There are several ways in which we can help your church in the area of discipleship:
If you would like assistance in any of the areas please contact Dave McClung or Laura Hefley.
Bible drill is a great way for children to develop strong scripture memory skills, giving them an outlet to put what they’ve learned into practice through the Bible Drill competition.
TeamKID is a fun, high-energy ministry that encourages kids to know Jesus Christ and grow in a relationship with Him. All parts of TeamKID—Bible stories, Scripture memory, life application, missions, and recreation—connect to teach life lessons to kids.
