Pastoral Care issues include, but are not limited to, the following: pastoral counseling; counseling referrals; crisis support; hospital visitation; conducting weddings, funerals and church business meetings; and developing support groups and recovery groups. Grief Support Groups
Special emphasis is given to help churches set up support groups to assist those in the church and community deal with the loss of a loved one. Training and resources are available to any ABSC church by contacting the Leadership & Worship Team.
The pastor and the director of the Sunday School are two of the most influential growth agents in the Sunday School ministry. The pastor and director are the visible “face” of the Sunday School. That means they are the most effective at promoting Sunday School to the church.
