Ministry in Your Community

Mississippi River Ministry

Get involved through a mission trip in the eastern half of Arkansas or, if your church is in this area, through starting ministries to people in poverty.

Substance Abuse/Recovery Ministry

We have laypeople and pastors available to come to talk to your church about starting a recovery ministry.  We also have videos, books, and recovery kits available to loan to churches. See left margin for complete list

Health Care

The ABSC Missions Ministries team has dental equipment available to loan to churches who would like to have a dentist offer a free health clinic to people in need. We can also provide information on how to start an on-going free health clinic in your community.

Literacy Missions

Qualified personnel are available to train volunteers in your church to do these three types of literacy:  Adult Reading and Writing, English as a Second Language (ESL) and Tutoring Children and Youth.

Literacy Missions Training Workshop

Hunger and Poverty Ministries

We can help you know how to get started to reach out to people in poverty in your community through feeding them, teaching them, training them in getting jobs, sharing Christ with them.

Community Needs Assessments

We can help your church learn more about the greatest unmet needs in your community.  We will involve a few volunteers from your church in helping assess the needs and then a custom made report will be compiled for your church.

Arkansas Horseback Ministries

AHM uses the common interest of horses to share the love of Jesus Christ.

Multi-housing Ministries

Is a way that churches can share Jesus with a group of people that are increasing in number each day all across Arkansas.

Senior Adult Missions

Even though you may have retired from a job there are many ways that you can still stay active for God.

Pregnancy Care Centers

This is a ministry that not only allows Believers to share hope with women and men in a time of need but also allows Believers to help save lives.

Resort/Leisure Ministries

Arkansas is known as the “Natural State.” What an opportunity we Arkansas Baptists have to share the love of Jesus right out in the place that He created.
