Helping your church mobilize for missions
The Arkansas Baptist State Convention Partnership Missions office stands ready to help your church develop and carry out a strategy of missions involvement.
We can help you:
- Train, inform, and encourage your missions team
- Identify meaningful missions projects that are suited to your ministry
- Provide logistic information, including: How to arrange travel, visas, interpreters, accommodations, insurance, trip evaluation.
- Provide comprehensive orientations
- Provide a scholarship for senior pastors making their first international mission trip
- Provide PowerPoint presentations and mission fair booths
We can help you carry out your mission strategy anywhere God calls on you to be involved. Our partners listed on the right have asked for the help of Arkansas churches and are eager to work with your church to provide a meaningful missions experience.
First considerations to begin the process:
What people has God laid on your heart?
What kind of ministry are you drawn to?
What is your window of opportunity?
What size group will you have?
What are your limitations (money, time, health, etc.)?

Brazil (Forianopolis) Ron and Alana Greenwich (Arkansas based IMB missionaries) say, "Our main work is with the urban poor communities of Greater Florianopolis, the capital of the state of Santa Catarina in southern Brazil. We work directly with Brazilian churches encouraging them to look around their neighborhoods and see the needs, and proceed to help them study ways of meeting those needs as well as preach the gospel. We also work with our state Baptist convention in targeting priority areas both for evangelism and construction of buildings for existing congregations. On an ongoing basis, we can always use medical teams, evangelism teams to do prayer walking, visiting public schools and homes, family seminars, Bible clubs for children, sports evangelism, etc." See ronalana.wordpress.com/
Bulgaria We have the opportunity to work with the unreached Muslims in the mountain region and with the Gypsies along the Danube. Request a newsletter.
France Paris is called the "City of Lights", but less than one percent of the 11 million people there have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Arkansas Baptists are linking with Tony and Jami Lynn, the city strategists in Paris, to reflect the "Light of the World" to the Persians. Arkansas volunteers have opportunities to minister with French churches and engage in church planting opportunities. Besides the French, there are several people groups found in Paris, including Muslims who have come from all over the world. Arkansas churches are also working with Indians, Turks, West Africans and North Africans. Email lynnonmission@msn.com
