The Basics of Missions: top

 

Missions is the activity we undertake to bring the gospel to the unsaved so they can become disciples of Jesus Christ.  Every Christian is a missionary!    Matthew 28:18-20    2 Corinthians 5:17-21


 

 

Using the Computer for Missions Praying   top

 

1) Praying for people you know :

    a) Create a simple word processing document to keep track of people you are praying for.

    b) Use an electronic calendar or PDA (personal digital assistant) to keep track of people;

synchronize that information with your computer.

    c) Many Bible software titles allow for the tracking and cataloging of prayer requests.

    d) Buy software specifically designed for your prayer life.

 

2) Praying for missionaries and their requests:

Informed Christians will give and go.  SBC missions organizations have a tremendous Internet presence that you can access to keep up-to-date on missions work around the world.  In addition, volunteer opportunities abound!

Using the Computer to Evangelize the Lost  top

 

1) Write your testimony and email it to a friend, or print it and send it.  Include a) what your life was like before meeting Jesus Christ; b) what happened when you met Him; and c) what He has done in your life since meeting Him.

 

2) Use the Internet to share your faith.
