The Importance of Sunday School / Small Groups to Revival
For the revival to have the desired long term impact, the Sunday School/Small Groups must play a major role in the campaign. To conserve the evangelistic results of revival, the Sunday School/Small Groups must be ready to receive and minister to new people. The Sunday School/Small Groups is the largest organization in most churches and is normally age-graded to some degree; thus, it becomes one of the greatest growth tools in our churches.
Sunday School/Small Groups as the Assimilation Tool
The Sunday School/Small Groups must move beyond being a mere knowledge dispensing organization to an organization that intentionally invites prospects into friendship circles. A primary factor in retaining numerical growth is involving new members in a friendship group.
Activities that Encourage Growth
- Conduct regular Sunday School fellowships for members, guests, and prospects.
- Make a positive impression on your guests.
- Create excitement through a High Attendance Day in Sunday School/Small Groups.
- Start new Sunday School Classes/Small Groups to reach people.
Your Life Matters... In Your Sunday School/Small Groups!
“Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”
