ABSC Welcomes Smith as New Preschool and Children's Specialist

The Arkansas Baptist State Convention is excited to announce and welcome Emily Smith as the Preschool and Children’s Specialist. Smith will serve as a member of the Church Health Team assisting church leaders in the area of children's ministry.

Emily has a passion for ministering to kids and their families. She has worked for FamilyLife Publishing, Exclaim Entertainment, and served the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention as an associate in the Church Ministries Department. Emily is a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University (OBU) and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

“I am extremely excited to have Emily Smith joining our team as the Preschool and Children’s Specialist,” said Terry Bostick, team leader of the Church Health Team. “Emily brings both church and denominational experience to the job, and her strong ties to Arkansas through her OBU degree and being a native Arkansan mean she will have immediate impact in the state.”

The Church Health Team exists to lead Arkansas Baptist churches to greater levels of church health—to evangelize the lost, participate in worship and small groups, and give generously to ministry and missions. The Church Health team equips church leaders and members through quality events, training, and consultations.
