Recap of Fall Ministry Safe Conferences

The Evangelism & Church Health Team hosted four MinistrySafe Church Safety Trainings in the Northwest part of Arkansas on September 12 and 13. There were 210 people from 86 different churches who participated in the trainings at First Baptist Church in Russellville, Grand Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Smith, Cross Church Pinnacle Hills Campus in Rogers, and First Baptist Church in Harrison.

The training purpose was to help churches develop a better strategy to protect children and students in their church. Greg Love was the presenter. He is an attorney and the developer of MinistrySafe, along with his wife Kimberly.

MinistrySafe urges churches to develop a 5-Part Safety System to protect children and students which includes:

1) sexual abuse awareness training

2) skillful screening (application, reference checks, personal interviews)

3) background checks

4) tailored policies and procedures

5) monitoring and oversight

Please contact Ben Phillips with the Evangelism and Church Health Team if you would like to learn more about how to utilize MinistrySafe to protect children and students. Check out the MinistrySafe website at for additional information.
