Arkansas Baptist Builders is coordinating the rebuilding of homes in the Gentilly area of New Orleans. We will train you to put up insulation and sheetrock. We also need experienced plumbers, electricians and roofers. Can you bring a group? Adults and students age 16 and older are welcome.
You can expect from us:
- Inexpensive room and board ($10 per person per day covers lodging/meals/utilities/showers)
- Training to install sheetrock and insulation
- Onsite supervision by a member of Arkansas Baptist Builders
- A way to minister to people in the name of Jesus Christ
We will ask you:
- After putting a team together to please notify us and coordinate your trip through Bill Cantrell, your state convention Volunteer Coordinator.
- Bring your own bed sheets or sleeping bag, pillow and towels.
- Provide your own round trip transportation
- When bringing those under 18 years of age, provide one adult for every four youth. If possible, please send adults with some building or remodeling experience or those confident they can help youth use a knife, straight edge and drill gun.

It is very important that your trip is coordinated through our office at the Arkansas Baptist State Convention. Some weeks are full. Please download our current schedule.
Registration Forms:
1.) Registration Form. After putting your group together fill in the fields at the bottom of the form and email it as an attachment to Bill Cantrell.
2.) Sponsor Checklist. This guides a team leader through a team orientation.
3.) Medical Release Form and Team Member Pledge. Team leaders please print off enough forms for each team member to fill out and sign. Bring the completed forms to New Orleans with you on your trip.
All team leaders are responsible for team members' completion of the Medical Release and Team Member Pledge.
