Jeremiah prophesied at a time when life was bleak for the Israelites. But God did not leave His people without hope. He sent Jeremiah to call them to repentance, and He promised them restoration. In Jeremiah 33:3, the Lord said to Jeremiah,

“Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know” (NIV).

God’s promise to Jeremiah was to “expect the unexpected.”

Today God still accomplishes the unexpected through the churches of the Arkansas Baptist State Convention. New congregations starting in unexpected locations, lives being changed through unexpected events, ministry occurring in unexpected settings—all are testimonies to Expect the Unexpected!
