The local Baptist Association puts missions into the heart of Southern Baptist Churches.  The goal of Associational Missions Development is to help associations develop an Acts 1:8 strategy.  The Associational Missions Development group partners with associational missionaries to provide resources and assistance in order to resource and strengthen churches and the associational ministry.  Areas of assistance include:

Associational Strategy Development. Associational Strategy Development enables associations to use all of their available resources to impact the world with the Gospel.  Strategy Development makes it possible for associations to discover the needs and opportunities that exist in their area, and discover the resources that are available, and ways to put in place a strategy that enable the association of churches to be faithful stewards in expanding God's Kingdom.

Associational Missionary Search Committees. Orientation, training, and Search Committee Guides are provided to Associational Missionary Search Committees to use in their search for the man God has prepared to lead their association.  Materials are available to assist committees prepare and revise job descriptions, personnel policies and procedures, constitutions and by-laws and office procedures and policies.

Orientation and Training. In conjunction with Missions Ministries Team members and other Teams in the Arkansas Baptist State Convention, orientation and training is provided for all new Associational Missionaries.  Training is also provided for potential  Associational Missionaries.
