Church administration workshop set for July 30 in Little Rock
Arkansas Baptist churches and ministry leaders will have an opportunity to strengthen their financial, legal and administrative practices during a free Church Administration Workshop on July 30.
Hosted by the Arkansas Baptist Foundation in partnership with Arkansas Baptists, the workshop will be offered in two identical sessions from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at 10 Remington Drive in Little Rock.
The workshop will cover topics including nonprofit responsibilities, church governance, compensation planning, financial best practices and foundational church accounting. Participants also will receive guidance on receiving and disbursing funds, separation of duties, audits and reviews, managing designated and restricted funds, financial reporting, compliance, policies and security considerations.
Speakers include Patrick Henry, associate executive director and chief financial officer for Arkansas Baptists; Curt Tucker, investment and administrative director for the Arkansas Baptist Foundation; and Dillon McClain, vice president and attorney for the Arkansas Baptist Foundation.
The workshop is free, but registration is required. Churches sending multiple participants should complete a separate registration for each attendee.
