At Camp Paron, we are continually reminded that this place is more than just buildings and land—it’s a space the Lord uses to change lives. Each year we have the privilege of welcoming guests who come to rest, grow, serve, and encounter God in meaningful ways.

Over the past year, we’ve been prayerfully and intentionally working to improve the camp, not just for comfort and convenience, but to better support the ministry that takes place here.

We’ve continued investing in our facilities to better serve every group that walks onto the campus. From repairs to upgrades, each project has been approached with one purpose in mind: to remove distractions and create an environment where guests can focus on what matters most—time with the Lord and with one another.

We are excited to share that Cabin Group 2 has officially been re-opened, now featuring new mattresses to provide a more comfortable and restful stay for our guests.

In addition, we are currently remodeling the former assistant manager’s house into what will now be called The Cottage. This three-bedroom, two-bath home will provide a more intimate lodging option for groups that do not require a space as large as The Lodge. It will also serve as a place of rest for ministry leaders on sabbatical, as well as a practical housing option for summer groups needing accommodations for speakers, band members, or nurses. We believe The Cottage will be a wonderful addition to the lodging options at Camp Paron and another way we can serve those who come here.

One of the larger projects underway has been improvements to our pool. After completing a full sandblasting process, we are moving forward with refinishing the surface. We’re excited for this to be a refreshed space where groups can enjoy fellowship, rest, and fun during their time at camp.

God has blessed Camp Paron with beautiful surroundings, and we’ve worked to steward that well. From clearing underbrush to improving walkways, these efforts help make the campus more accessible and welcoming.

We’ve also added new cabin signage across campus to help guests navigate with ease and completed a new bridge on the north end of the campus, improving access and connection between areas.

Looking ahead, we are excited to be adding a walking trail to the camp, expected to be ready for use in October 2026. The trail will offer a peaceful way to enjoy the beauty of the property, with a route that is just over a mile when walked in full and a shorter option of less than half a mile. Along the longer trail, guests will also find a quiet space by the creek with benches—a place designed for rest, conversation, reflection, and time in God’s presence. We believe this will become a meaningful destination for those walking the trail and a special setting for groups and individuals alike.

These enhancements may seem like small details, but they serve a bigger purpose—helping each group move smoothly through their time here so they can stay focused on why they came. Many of the improvements made this year are things guests may never see, but they are essential to keeping the camp running well. From infrastructure updates to ongoing maintenance, these efforts allow us to continue serving each group with excellence.

We are excited about what the Lord is doing and what lies ahead for Camp Paron. Every improvement, every project, and every step forward is done with prayer and purpose—so that this place can continue to be used for His glory.
