“Everybody should be considering how the Lord is calling them to follow Jesus.”

For Arkansas natives Brian and Emily the call to international missions came later in life, and meant leaving their careers to take their four children to West Africa.  “Many people feel called to missions earlier in life, but I want our story to be an encouragement to those who already feel established.” They have now served with the IMB for seven years investing in the health of national churches and working among college students and young adults.

Brian says that living out the Gospel in their family has been a key to their ministry.  Along with evangelism and church health training, they challenge cultural beliefs by teaching a biblical view of marriage and community.  Furthermore, they are able to model a healthy marriage and Gospel-centered parenting for many young adults who have never had an example of a Christian home.

Thanks to the Cooperative Program and Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, they will not be alone in this either.  In 2022 God has answered five years of prayers to send more laborers to join them on the field.

PRAYER POINTS: Let’s pray for Brian and Emily’s family as they navigate many changes in the year ahead.  Pray for new co-workers to settle well in life and ministry.  And pray for a new church planted during the pandemic as they seek God’s provision of a new pastor.

When you give to your church, you give to missions through the Cooperative Program, bringing the Good News to the whole world. Find more CP resources at ABSC.org/CPShare.
