John Meador — Bio

John Meador has served as senior pastor of First Baptist Church Euless since 2006. He is passionate about the Word of God and committed to teaching it creatively because he loves to watch it transform lives. Under his leadership, First Euless has become an intergenerational, multi-ethnic and missionfocused church. His compassionate heart and vision have shaped a churchthat reaches into the community through ministries like 6Stones Mission Network and all over the world, impacting nations such as Cuba, Columbia, Tanzania and India.

John preached the 2014 SBC Convention Message in Baltimore and was President of the 2016 SBC Pastor’s Conference in St. Louis. He possesses a contagious compassion to help other pastors have a plan to share the Gospel. In 2014, he created “Can We Talk?”, a conversational Gospel sharing method that's now finding widespread favor across the nation. Shortly after, he founded One Conversation, whose purpose is to challenge and train pastors to lead and equip people to share the Gospel in their everyday life.

"Can We Talk?" and One Conversation are kindling Gospel movements by reigniting a passion for Gospel conversations. The organization has trained more than 400 pastors and equipped thousands in 16 states nationally

John and his wife Kim have ben married for over 38 years and are parents of 6 grown children. John loves guns, “real” sports – and loves driving around in an old Ford F-150 – as well as shooting and building stuff.
