Evangelism Conference 2025

Make plans to join us January 27-28 at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church in Little Rock for the 2025 Statewide Conference on Evangelism + Church Health. We will have powerful worship and dynamic speakers that will encourage you as well as breakout sessions for various ministries. Registration is not required for ECON, but is required for lunch workshops. Save the Date - You don't want to miss it!


ECON Speakers

Jeff Iorg

Dr. Jeff Iorg is the eighth President and CEO of the SBC Executive Committee, elected in March 2024. He previously served as president of Gateway Seminary for 20 years, during which he expanded the seminary's global reach and increased its endowment by over $50 million. With a background in church planting and leadership roles across multiple states, Iorg has authored eight books on biblical leadership and evangelism. He holds degrees from several seminaries and enjoys cheering on the Oregon Ducks with his wife, Ann, and their three children.

 


Ted Cunningham

Ted Cunningham is the founding pastor of Woodland Hills Family Church in Branson, Missouri, and a marriage coach with the American Association of Christian Counselors. An accomplished author, he has written several books on relationships and co-authored works with Dr. Gary Smalley. Ted is also a comedian and frequent speaker at conferences nationwide. He and his wife, Amy, have been married for 27 years and have two children.

 

 


JJ Washington

JJ Washington is the Director of Personal Evangelism for the North American Mission Board, following his role as Evangelism Catalyst for the Georgia Baptist Mission Board. With extensive experience in children's and youth ministry, he holds both master's and doctoral degrees from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. A passionate preacher and evangelist, JJ enjoys making home videos and spending time with his family, including his wife, Tamara, and their two children.

 

 


Lee Strobel

Lee Strobel, a former atheist and award-winning legal editor, is now a New York Times best-selling author with over 14 million books sold, including The Case for Christ. As the Founding Director of the Lee Strobel Center for Evangelism at Colorado Christian University, he explores the evidence for Christianity. His spiritual journey inspired the award-winning film The Case for Christ. Lee and his wife, Leslie, have been married for 48 years and have two adult children.

 

 


Nick Floyd


Dr. Nick Floyd is the Senior Pastor of Cross Church in Northwest Arkansas, having previously served as Lead Teaching Pastor. He holds degrees from Liberty University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, including a Doctor of Ministry. Nick met his wife, Meredith, in college, and they have four children. He is involved in various leadership roles within the Arkansas Baptist State Convention and enjoys smoking meat and football in his spare time.

 

 


Tom Richter

Dr. Tom Richter is the pastor of Cullman First Baptist Church in Alabama, with previous experience as a church planter in New York City. A lifelong follower of Jesus, he felt called to preach at an early age and holds degrees from Murray State University, Princeton Theological Seminary, and Beeson Divinity School. Tom is a dedicated husband and father of three, and he enjoys playing ultimate Frisbee.

 

 


 

Worship led by David McKinney and Cross Church Worship

David McKinney

David McKinney is the Lead Worship Pastor at Cross Church, where he has served since June 2011. Married to Rachel since December 2009, they are proud parents of four children: Macy-Beth, Mack, Hunter, and Josiah. David accepted Jesus at age eight, and his faith blossomed during college, supported by his education in Worship and Music Ministry from Liberty University and Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary.

 

 

 


Pre-ECON Workshops

Apologetics Workshop led by Lee Strobel

Join us on Monday, January 27th from 9:30-11:30 as Lee Strobel leads us in an apologetics study, focusing on defense of the Christian faith in times of opposition.


Lunch Workshops
