Thrive Collective
Thrive Collective is a one-day workshop for women’s ministry leaders. It will take place on Saturday, April 22, at the Arkansas Baptist State Convention. This will be a focused time for women’s ministry leaders to cultivate relationships with one another in an interactive setting. Thrive Collective is a place to find encouragement, ideas, inspiration, and friendship as we grow together with each other and God.

Session 1: Discipleship Ministry: Creating Ministry Environments for Women to Thrive with Lori McDaniel
As women’s ministry leaders, we can sometimes get in the habit of planning ministry without considering what the end goal should be. In this session, we will learn how to adapt our mindset to help shape discipleship ministry that results in deep and lasting spiritual fruit in the lives of our women.
Session 2: Next Gen Leaders: Creating Pathways for Young Leaders to Thrive with Shari Edwards
How can we as women’s ministry leaders communicate to the young women coming behind us that they are needed and valued in the church? In this session we will take intentional steps to bridge the leadership gap between the generations and learn strategic methods to intentionally invest in the next generation of women’s ministry leaders.
Session 3: Panel Discussion: Conversations & Practical Helps for Women’s Ministries to Thrive
This will be an interactive time to ask ministry questions and have an opportunity to dialogue together and learn from each other as women’s ministry leaders!
Lori McDaniel
Lori is a multifaceted leader and bible teacher. Her love for the church and passion for discipleship has led her to over 30 countries working with churches and cross-cultural workers. She served in Africa as a missionary and later worked as a Global Mission Catalyst with International Mission Board. She and her husband, Mike, live in Northwest Arkansas where he is the lead pastor of the church they planted. Lori has extensive experience in women’s ministry and church strategy. She holds an MA from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Her first book, The Mission of God and You, will release September 2023. She’s a mom of three and grandmother of four.
Shari Edwards
Shari has been active in Women’s Ministry leadership for over 20 years and currently serves as Adjunct Instructor of Ministry to Women at Ouachita Baptist University. She also serves as a Lifeway Women Trainer. Shari is a wife of 34 years to her college sweetheart, mother of 3 sons and a beautiful daughter-in-law, and “Sibby” to 2 precious granddaughters. She resides in North Little Rock and is an active member of Park Hill Baptist Church. Shari is leading the Arkansas Baptists Women networking effort and is our Network Coordinator. She is here to help leaders across Arkansas get connected with resources and one another!
