Overview

Ministry is shaped and fueled by conversations. In children’s ministry, conversations grow by the minute. We ask ourselves, is there enough time in the day? There is a lot to consider: How do I ask a volunteer to serve? Which day is most free to follow up with parents? How do I build intentional relationships with the kids and families I am ministering to? While all the tasks of children’s ministry are important, leaders can get easily distracted with the everyday work of doing ministry and lose sight of the main focus—the Gospel. In all that we do, our lives and conversations should reflect the Gospel and the building up of the church.  

In this online cohort, you’ll learn that conversations boil down to discipleship opportunities. Leaders do not have every answer, nor can they fix every problem, but they can become experts in speaking encouraging words and inviting volunteers to an experience that is bigger than we all are. The goal is that you will be developed as a leader and grow in your ability to ask, seek, and engage in all the different relational conversations that come your way.

Date: Every Thursday beginning September 11 - October 9, 2025 from 10AM - 11:15 AM. We will take a break & will not meet on September 25th.
Time: 10AM - 11:15 AM
Location: 3 meetings will be online via Zoom, and 1 meeting will be in-person. The in-person meeting will be held on October 9th from 9AM - 12PM at the ABSC Building in Little Rock in Room 322, West Chapel.
