5 Foundations of Kids Ministry
A 4-Week Online Cohort | Begins September 8
Overview
The Kids Ministry Cohort is a focused 4-week online experience designed to equip and empower kids ministry leaders through the 5 Foundations of Kids Ministry: safety, curriculum, volunteers, parents, and events. Participants will gain practical tools, healthy ministry systems, and leadership strategies that help create sustainable, effective ministries centered on both structure and spiritual growth. Beginning with “Building a Foundation for Kids Ministry,” the cohort will cover topics such as safety, healthy ministry habits, and organizational leadership while providing encouragement and actionable ideas that strengthen ministries and impact children, families, and communities.
An optional collaboration session for cohort members will be held Thursday, October 1, from 10 AM to 12 PM in the West Chapel at the Arkansas Baptist State Convention, with lunch provided.
Meet Lauren Jackson, Cohort Leader
Lauren Jackson
Founder + CEO of Next Gen Ministry Network
Lauren Jackson is the Founder + CEO of Next Gen Ministry Network. She has served in Kids Ministry for almost 15 years. She was born and raised in Southern California and moved to Colorado as a young adult. Growing up in the church, she knew from a young age that God was calling her into Kids & Family Ministry. She graduated from Colorado Christian University with a degree in Communications and a minor in Psychology with an emphasis on Family & Child. Over the years, she has served in a staff role at a handful of churches and experienced everything from a church plant to multi-site congregations and from set up and tear down to big budget renovations. She has served alongside volunteer teams of 50 people to 200+ people and she can surprisingly say, led a kids ministry through a global pandemic!
