Archie Mason — Senior Pastor
Central Baptist Church, Jonesboro

Dr. Archie Mason was born on March 16, 1965. On June 10, 1988, he married his wife, Angie, and they have two grown sons and daughter in-laws, Tyler and Kelsey Mason, and Taylor and Emma Mason. Dr. Mason has a Bachelor of Science degree in Agri-Business, a Master of Divinity from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary, and a D.Min. from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Before being called to full-time ministry, Dr. Mason was President and owner of Professional Agricultural Services Inc., and Vice-President of Farm Financial Services Inc., in Wynne, Arkansas. He is an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoys being in the outdoors, and has a passion to reach the world for Christ.


Dr. Mason came to Central Baptist Church as Senior Pastor in February 2005. He has done mission work in Brazil, Argentina, West and Central Africa, India, and Uzbekistan. He served as the President of the Arkansas Pastor’s conference 2006, Vice-President of the 2012 SBC Pastors Conference, taught as an adjunct professor for Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary at the Jonesboro Extension from 2013-2015, and served as the President of the Arkansas Baptist State Convention from 2013-2015. He is currently serving as a member of the SBC Executive Committee and was the former co-host of, a nonprofit faith-based outdoor ministry.

Greg Sykes — Senior Pastor
First Baptist Church, Russellville

Greg Sykes has served as the Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church in Russellville, Arkansas since 2011. He first joined the staff in 2001, serving at First Baptist Dover prior to that.  He is an Arkansas native and graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Journalism and Political Science, and completed his Master’s Degree in Biblical Studies from Trinity Theological Seminary in Newbourgh, IN.  He and his wife, Jamie, have three children, Grace (18), Carter (15) and Reed (13).  He first felt a call of ministry while participating in Student Mobilization, a regional collegiate ministry based in Conway, Arkansas.

J.D. "Sonny" Tucker — Executive Director
Arkansas Baptist State Convention

Dr. J.D. "Sonny" Tucker serves as the Executive Director of the Arkansas Baptist State Convention. Previously, he served as the Team Leader for the Evangelism & Church Growth Team at the ABSC. He completed his Bachelor of Arts at Ouachita Baptist University. He later completed his Master of Divinity & Ph.D from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary. Prior to joining the ABSC, he served in several Arkansas Baptist Churches as Pastor. In addition to Pastoring, he also served as an adjunct professor for Ouachita Baptist University & Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. 

Dr. Tucker is an avid outdoorsman & enjoys spending time with his family. He is married to Nicki Tucker, has two children and one grand daughter. 

Ronnie Deal — Senior Pastor
First Baptist Church, Greenwood


Ronnie Deal has served as Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church, Greenwood, Arkansas since 1999.  Prior to coming to Greenwood, he was a Student Pastor for 19 years in Texas and North Carolina.  He grew up in North Carolina and played college football where he was All-South Atlantic Conference and Small College All-American.  Ronnie loves the outdoors and is an avid backpacker, hunter, and fisherman.  His backpacking adventures include the Rocky Mountains in New Mexico and numerous treks through the Appalachian Trail and Grand Canyon.  He has enjoyed fishing throughout the United States and Canada.  Ronnie currently serves on the Board of Trustees Executive Committee for Gateway Seminary and the Executive Committee of the Arkansas Baptist State Convention and Concord Baptist Association.  Ronnie is married to his wife, Rae, and has four children.  His passion is leading men to a love relationship with Jesus Christ.
