There are no Southern Baptist African American gospel-centered churches in this area. There is a huge need for an African American church in Hope. There's a population of almost 9,000 people with just under 47% being African American. That means there are over 4,000 people who do not have anyone reaching them intentionally with the gospel. The church has a great opportunity to love these people and do outreach in this community.

• Pray that God would use the believers already in Hope and surrounding areas to reach their family, friends, and neighbors with the gospel.
• Pray for the lost, church-hurt, and broken people in Hope who need to be loved and that God would be preparing their hearts for the harvest.
