About the Pastor

Nicole and I got married in 2005. We met in 2002 at our church in Washington State where I was serving as Youth Pastor. Our son Jaxson was born in 2008 and our daughter Julianne came along in 2011. At this same time, after almost 10 years on the west coast, we accepted a call to a large church in Raleigh, NC where we served for 3 years.

We are now living back in my hometown of White Hall where we have accepted the adventurous challenge of church planting. Our church plant in Redfield has been gathering for just over a year. We meet in a remodeled Movie Gallery, next door to the grocery store, right in the heart of Redfield. We are so excited to see what God has in store for The Refuge!

We are certified church planters through the Arkansas Baptist State Convention and receive financial support and spiritual guidance from the ABSC, Harmony Baptist Association, and our sponsor church, South Side Baptist in Pine Bluff.

I'm crazy about technology, social media, college football, fish tacos, Apple products, good coffee, Reformed theology, reading on my Kindle, listening to podcasts, well written TV shows, and homemade chocolate chip cookies.

About The Refuge:

The Refuge is a family of faith where all are welcomed and accepted with arms wide open. We live out the love and hospitality we see in Jesus while growing and learning together in discipleship in Him. We work to be a blessing to our community through compassion and service.

We gather for worship each Sunday morning at 9:00. Sunday evening missional groups meet at 5:00 and our youth ministry meets each Wednesday at 5pm. We are located in the heart of Redfield - next door to the grocery store. Starting with simply a vision 14 months ago, The Refuge has grown to an average Worship attendance of 40 and around 20 attending our Wednesday night youth program.
