Over a hundred young adults gathered at the Young Leaders Panel to hear about crossing cultural boundaries to reach people for Christ! Thanks to this awesome panel for sharing how they have reached their communities. #absc17

Tuesday | Arkansas Baptist State Convention

Many ministries were able to share reports this week. One highlight was the report on Disaster Relief--> they have trained over 1,000 new volunteers, served over 320,000 meals, and seen 44 professions of faith since hurricane Harvey hit Texas!

"The church does not find its identity in the culture--the church finds its identity in Christ. For those who are in Christ, there is no ground for barriers or divisions because in Christ we are one with all others. The church must be the place in every community where people know those barriers are down. Let us live to make the message of reconciliation personal." --Dr. Sam Roberts

We had an awesome time Tuesday night at the Church Planter Commissioning service, where we had the opportunity to hear some of the stories from these new churches around our state! We commissioned 16 new church planters & prayed for these plants and all others around our state!

"Jesus never sent anyone in need away." Thank you, Dr. Sonny Tucker, for challenging our state to live boldly as we strive to impact lostness across Arkansas! #absc17

Dr. Sonny Tucker closed out the week praying for Arkansas and our newly elected officers of the Convention, including--Greg Sykes as president, Wyman Richardson as First Vice President, and George Goynes as Second Vice President! Thank you to everyone who made this a great week of recharging and refocusing! #absc17
